Adrienne Barbeau is an American actress, singer, and author who has had a successful career in film, television, and theater. Born on June 11, 1945, in Sacramento, California, Barbeau began her career in the entertainment industry in the late 1960s.

Barbeau's first major role was as Carol Traynor, the daughter of Maude Findlay (played by Bea Arthur) on the hit television series "Maude" from 1972 to 1978. Her performance on the show earned her a Golden Globe nomination for Best Supporting Actress in a Television Series.
In addition to her television work, Barbeau has also had a successful career in film. She appeared in several horror films in the late 1970s and early 1980s, including "The Fog," "Escape from New York," and "Creepshow." Barbeau's performance in "The Fog" earned her a Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actress.
Barbeau has also had success on stage, particularly in musical theater. In 1971, she made her Broadway debut in the musical "Fiddler on the Roof" as Hodel, one of Tevye's daughters. She went on to star in several other Broadway productions, including "Grease" and "Women Behind Bars."
In 1993, Barbeau received a Tony Award nomination for Best Featured Actress in a Musical for her role as Rizzo in the Broadway revival of "Grease." She also received critical acclaim for her performance in the off-Broadway play "The Property Known as Garland," in which she played Judy Garland.
In addition to her acting career, Barbeau is also a talented singer. She has released several albums, including "Adrienne Barbeau" and "There Are Worse Things I Could Do." She has also performed in numerous concerts and cabaret shows.
Barbeau is also an accomplished author. She has written two memoirs, "There Are Worse Things I Could Do" and "Love Bites," as well as several novels, including "Vampyres of Hollywood" and "Love Letters."
Throughout her career, Barbeau has been recognized for her contributions to the entertainment industry. In 2012, she received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the New York City Horror Film Festival. She was also honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2019.
