Hey guys, happy Sunday! Today, I am sharing with you this Shumai Recipe. Shumai is a Chinese style snack made of simple ingredients like carrots, onion and the main ingredient is ground pork. I happened to have of these ingredients when I was trying to clean up my fridge to replenish it with new “stuff” for the next week, so I made this . It is so simple to make, and too delicious to resist. Also, PLEASE SPRAY YOUR STEAMER WITH NON STICK OIL so that the Shumai will not stick. My cousin forgot to spray them and she described her Shumai as “fail” because the wrapper stuck to the steamer.

You can also try making this Pancit Recipe to complete your snack round up.

You can make it vegan/vegetarian. Use Zucchini and Tofu or, just Zucchine with the rest of the ingredients.. Tried it before. and it was delicious.

I have not heard of Shumai, but looking at your recipe, these are easy to make, for a vegetarian version what vegetables should I use?

What a cute appetizer or snack. These would be such a big hit with our family — they love anything Asian. I’m already making plans to pick up some won ton wraps, we already have the other ingredients.

Dumpling lover here. Any day is dumpling day. But I always fear I wont be able to shape them perfect. But Shumai looks like the easiest dumpling to make.

It’s been years since I ate shumai. I use to love eating them while I live in Singapore and often traveled to China. Love the sauce that goes with it too. Never knew it was so easy to make. Looks so good. Saving this for later.
