The draft order is based after the NHL Draft Lottery and heading into the Stanley Cup Final. There were no teams that changed draft positions after the lottery.

The 2024 NHL draft will be held on Friday, June 28th and Saturday the 29th, from the Sphere in Las Vegas.

# 14 - The San Jose Sharks receive the Pittsburgh Penguins 2024 first-round pick (top 10 protected), Mikael Granlund, Mike Hoffman and Jan Ruuta in a three-team trade also involving the Montreal Canadiens. Pittsburgh receives Erik Karlsson, Rem Pitlick, Dillon Hamaliuk and San Jose's 2026 third-round draft pick. Montreal receives Pittsburgh's 2025 second-round draft pick, Jeff Petry, Casey DeSmithand Nathan Legare.

# 18 and # 20 - The Chicago Blackhawks receive the New York Islanders 2024 first-round (# 18) and second-round (# 50) picks for the Blackhawks 2024 first-round (# 20 via TB), and two second-round (# 54 via LA and #61 via VAN) picks.

The Chicago Blackhawks receive the Tampa Bay Lightning's 2024 first-round pick (# 20), 2023 first-round pick (# 19 - Oliver Moore), Taylor Raddysh and Boris Katchouk for Brandon Hagel, 2022 fourth-round pick (# 103 - Kenny Connors and a 2024 fourth-round pick.

# 21 and # 26 - The Montreal Canadiens received the LA Kings 2024 1st round pick (# 21) for their 2024 1st round pick (# 26), a 2024 2nd round pick (# 57 - orginally COL) and a 2024 7th round pick (# 198).

# 25 - The Boston Bruins received their original 2024 first-round pick (via OTT and DET), Mark Kastelic, and Joonas Korpisalo (25% salary retained) from the Ottawa Senators for Linus Ullmark. The Ottawa Senators receive the Boston Bruins 2024 first-round pick (via DET) (top 10 protected), 2024 fourth-round pick, Dominik Kubalik and Donovan Sebrango for Alex DeBrincat. The Red Wings have the option of sending either their own or the Bruins' pick to Ottawa. If the pick is in the top 10, it becomes a 2025 first-round pick.
